Todd Engstrom

Todd Engstrom04 Sept 1969 – 14 Sept 2004
My friend and brother Todd was killed  when a rocket-propelled grenade hit his team’s vehicle while returning from a mission in Iraq. Todd leaves behind his wife, son, parents, and friends from all over the world.

Todd Engstrom was an experienced law enforcement instructor with a police background that spanned his entire adult life. His early career began as an undercover officer working in co-operation with the Department of Criminal Investigation.

Relocation in the early 90’s brought Todd to Nashville, TN where he continued his law enforcement career with the Nashville International Airport Police Department. Shortly thereafter, Todd started his tactical training with me at Priority One’s BASETAC Training Center. With  this training, he pursued and  received his Instructor Certification from the TN. P.O.S.T. Commission and his policing responsibilities grew to include providing departmental officer’s with instruction in defensive tactics, officer survival, close quarters battle, and hostage negotiations / crisis management. Todd continued training with me until his work took him overseas.

In 1991, the State of Tennessee acknowledged his efforts with the presentation of the “Outstanding Officer Award”. In 1994, he was named as an “Honorary Member of the Lt. Governor’s Staff”. He received numerous commendations for his training of various military and law enforcement units. Todd has also provided VIP/Dignitary and Asset Protection for various celebrities, foreign diplomats, and participated with the U.S. Secret Service in Presidential and Vice-Presidential protection details.

Rest in peace brother, you are sorely missed.
